NDIS FEES NDIS Psychology Session - $222.99

MEDICARE REBATE Medicare Rebate - $96.65 (out of pocket $113.35)​ Medicare will provide a rebate for 10 sessions per calendar Year. To obtain a referral you will need to book a mental health appointment with your GP and ask them to address the referral to the psychologist or clinic of your choice. HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST? • Standard Consultation (50-60 minutes): $210.00 • NDIS Psychology Session: $222.99 • Medicare Rebate: $96.65 (out-of-pocket cost: $113.35)

HOW DO I PAY FOR THERAPY? Ashleigh offers convenient Online payment options. Payment details are provided during the intake process, and rebates are processed online. A small processing fee of $5.09 applies. Alternatively, you can opt for BPAY, with details provided on your invoice. For NDIS clients, Ashleigh will discuss invoicing and payment options with you in your first session.

HOW FREQUENTLY DO I NEED TO ATTEND? The frequency of sessions depends on your goals and how intensively you wish to work towards them. Generally, more frequent sessions lead to quicker progress. Ashleigh will work together with you to determine a schedule that best suits your needs and circumstances.

DO YOU ACCEPT MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLANS (MHCP)? Yes, Ashleigh is registered with Medicare. To receive the Medicare rebate, you'll need to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP prior to your first session.

CAN I USE PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR MY SESSIONS? This depends on your level of cover. It is recommended that you check with your private health insurance provider to understand your psychology benefits.

WILL MY SESSION BE CONFIDENTIAL? Absolutely. Confidentiality is not just a promise – it's an ethical and legal requirement of AHPRA registration as a practicing psychologist. Your privacy and trust are paramount.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED? The number of sessions varies depending on the issues you want to address, the frequency of sessions, and your desired outcomes. In your initial sessions, Ashleigh will explore with you your goals and help set realistic therapeutic objectives. Remember, you're not obligated to complete a set number of sessions – you can decide to continue or conclude therapy based on your needs and progress.

IS TELEHEALTH AS EFFECTIVE AS IN-PERSON THERAPY? Research consistently shows that telehealth psychology can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns. Many clients find the comfort and convenience of attending sessions from home enhances their therapy experience.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A TELEHEALTH SESSION? To get the most out of your session: 1. Find a quiet, private space 2. Ensure a stable internet connection 3. Test your device's camera and microphone 4. Have a pen and paper ready 5. Approach the session as you would an in-person appointment

HOW LONG ARE TELEHEALH PSYCHOLOGY SESSIONS? Online sessions are 50 minutes long, just like traditional in-person therapy sessions.
